Kaia started her journey with massage in 2019 when she trained in Natural Facial Lift Massage, and has since completed further training in Full Body Therapeutic Massage, Oncology Massage and Indian Head Massage. She comes from a healing family, with three generations of reflexologists, somatic therapists and acupuncturists preceding her.
Kaia focuses on relaxation in her practice and the power of human touch communication as an antidote to stress and anxiety. Her therapeutic technique aligns itself with ongoing research around nervous system regulation, offering a space for an individual to find and return to ease within themselves and their bodies.
Alongside massage, Kaia is an experienced creative facilitator and workshop leader and has specialised in collaborative performance practices when working with communities, young people, senior citizens and international participants. She is passionate about the impacts of creativity and complementary therapies on mental well-being and marries the two in a holistic approach.
She is a regular facilitator and massage therapist on Equilibrio Retreats in the South of Spain, and over the past couple of years has continuously collaborated with Brighton based trainee music therapist Angharad Pether to bring self massage techniques and live and improvised musical soundscape together to explore the benefits of multisense healing.
